A GoFundMe page has been set up to help a local family recover from damage caused by a house fire on Sunday night in Rossmore Village.
A neighbour of the Compton Family has set up the page in the hope of helping the family to replace some of the items lost in the fire. The organiser Kayleigh Keane says some sentimental items lost can never be replaced but wants to help the family of four children especially in the run up to Christmas.
The fire began at approximately 8.30pm and family members in the house at the time were able to safely evacuate. Tipperary Fire Service and the National Ambulance Service attended the scene to assess for any injuries. No one required hospitalisation. The fire is thought to have started in a bedroom of the home and quickly which spread to cause damage to the bedroom and roof.The GoFundMe page is titled Help the Compton Family after devastating house fire.
