A man appeared before Cashel District Court yesterday charged with dangerous driving causing the deaths of his 3 year old son and his parents in August of 2023.
23 year old Thomas Reilly Jnr. was driving when the collision occurred near the Kingston area of Cashel at approximately 9pm on August 29th last year. His parents Thomas and Bridget O’Reilly and son Tom were back seat passengers at the time of the collision. Another woman aged in her 20s was also injured in the crash but has since recovered. The court heard Mr O’Reilly Jnr made no reply when charged. The charge was set by the Director of Public Prosecution and Judge John Brennan adjourned the case to next month. Mr O’Reilly Jnr was granted free legal aid and remanded on his own bail of €200. He is due to appear in court again on December 19th when the Book of Evidence will be served.
