Gardaí are investigating a single vehicle road traffic collision in the Coolkennedy area, near the Horse and Jockey that occurred yesterday(November14th).
The incident occurred at approximately 7pm when the vehicle was found overturned on the N62 at Coolkennedy, a location between the Horse and Jockey and Thurles. The occupants of the car were gone from the scene when emergency services arrived.
Garda say their investigation is ongoing and cannot confirm if the driver or occupants, if any, were injured in the incident. The road is a busy road with daily average traffic movements of 9302 vehicles according to Transport Infrastructure Ireland.
The road was initially closed for a time. A stop-go traffic management system was put in place to allow for the vehicle to be removed and the debris to be cleared.
