The Road Safety Authority is holding three clinics in Tipperary this week in respect of the correct fitting of Child car seats.
Today the free service is available in the car park of Aldi Clonmel, from 10am to 5.30pm. Tomorrow Wednesday November 6th the clinic moves to the Tesco Car park in Tipperary town situated on the Limerick road while on Thursday the clinic will be at Aldi in Cashel.
There is no need to book an appointment and all three clinics are available between 10am and 5.30pm. The aim of the Check it Fits Service is to ensure that the child car seat is properly fitted in the car.
The RSA says its own research shows that , as many as 4 out of 5 child car seats are incorrectly fitted which can result in serious injury or a fatality in the event of a collision.
