An Garda Síochána in the Tipperary South Community Engagement Area are launching a new initiative aimed at reducing anti-social behaviour and addressing community concerns in Clonmel. A statement released this morning outlines the details but the only town mentioned for the new initiative is Clonmel.
This operation will increase Garda visibility and patrols throughout Clonmel Town Centre, with both uniformed and plainclothes Gardaí present daily to detect and respond swiftly to offences during the upcoming busy period in the lead in to Christmas.
The approach was developed in response to recent discussions that An Garda Síochána held with Clonmel Community stakeholders.
Gardaí from Tipperary South Community Engagement and Crime functional areas will take part in the operation with the aim of addressing anti-social behaviour issues such as public order, harassment, drug use, and loitering.
