Uisce Eireann Customers in several parts of South Tipperary are without water today.
Customers in Thomastown had no water earlier today with supply returned by 11.30am – customers in Tipperary town are due to have water restored between 4 and 5pm today after being without water since Saturday evening(Matthew Street, area).
Uisce Éireann is also working to restore water supply as quickly as possible to Cahir town following a burst to a trunk watermains serving the town. Crews are on site undertaking the repair with works expected to be complete by 3pm today. Following the repairs, it will take approximately three hours for normal supply to be fully restored to all areas especially for those on higher ground or at the end of the network, as the water refills the network. However, all customers in the affected areas will experience reduced pressure or no water until approximately 6pm this evening.
In order to reduce the impact of the burst pipe Uisce Eireann has diverted water to return supply to some customers.
Uisce Éireann is apologizing for the disruption to supply in all locations.
