Tipperary town Music Festival says it will take on the task of installing the Christmas lights with December 7th set as the turn on date.
The announcement was made by Eamon Ryan in an online video. Mr Ryan says that the turn on event will be held between the two banks on Main Street starting at 5pm with the lights to be on by 6pm on Saturday December 7th. Santa is expected to make an appearance at this event. An iDonate page is to be set up to raise funds to cover the cost of the Tipperary town Christmas lights.
The Tipperary town Business Promotion group is to hold a Christmas Market and Entertainment event in the Abbey Street car park on the same evening between 6 and 9pm. This group is led by Anne Hadnett, Ann Whelan and Siobhan Hyland Ryan who organised a hugely successful event at the same location last year.
