Uisce Eireann are working on repairing two Water Mains Pipes in West Tipperary today that are causing disruption to supplies in two communities.

Repairs to the burst pipe affecting Shronell Beg and surrounding areas are due to be completed by 8pm today – later than originally expected (Wednesday October 30th).  The company is advising customers to allow 3 to 4 hours after the estimated restoration time for supply to fully return.

There is a similar restoration time for customers in  Ballinalard, Cullen, Glenbane, Barronstown, Limerick Junction, Roseboro, Kilross, Mt. Bruis, Duncummin, Ballyvistae, Shronell, Emly and surrounding areas also due to a burst mains pipe. This repair is due to be concluded by 8pm tonight – with the same 3 to 4 hour timeframe for supplies to fully return to normal once the pipe is repaired. The company recently introduced a text alert service for customers. By registering on the water.ie website with their Eircode and telephone number customers will be notified of any outage – planned or unplanned that lasts more than four hours.  The Customer care line is staffed 24 hours every day and can be contacted at 1 800 278 278.
