A new retail business has opened on Main street Tipperary town – Candy Cloud and Tech. The store opened yesterday will trade 7 days a week from 10am to 9pm.
The store is located at the corner of Bridge and Main Street in the former Ladbrokes outlet. The store offers a wide selection of vape products, an extensive range of sweets and also sells phones and accessories.
The business is owned by a family from Limerick where they have one other retail outlet – the family are originally from Pakistan.
The new business is a welcome addition to the Main street which has also benefited from a new Nail Salon and a new Restaurant in recent months. The units at 47/48 Main street are the subject of a planning application for conversion to apartments and Tipperary County Council is currently undertaking cosmetic repairs to the units at 6 and 7 Main Street(formerly Liz’s Bar). The Council purchased the property last year under a Government Scheme designed to address dereliction and vacancy and is yet to identify a purpose for the property with a social enterprise of some type most likely to be the option selected for the building which cannot be used for housing under the scheme.
