Over 50 scarecrows have been placed in shop windows and public spaces in Tipperary town.

The Scarecrow initiative is part of the Creative Places programme in the town designed to support the creative community and help people to network.

The scarecrows were produced by a range of groups including Oola Youth club, Tipperary Musical society, Moorehaven in collaboration with Tipperary FET, the Irish Wheelchair Association, Youthwork Ireland and the Tipperary Ukrainian community amongst others.

The Tipperary town business and marketing Group are helping to coordinate the project with the Creative Places Programme.

The public will be able to vote on Tipperarytown.ie Facebook page next week to select their favourite.

The organisation responsible for the most popular scarecrow will receive a €100 voucher for their organisation.
