Tipperary Cahir Cashel Municipal District(MD) will hold it’s October meeting today, Tuesday October 22nd. The 11 councillors will consider a draft budget for the MD and the October management report.

There are five motions for consideration – Cllr Andy Moloney is seeking a survey of footpaths in Ballyporeen and upgrade works were they are deemed necessary,  the Councillor is also seeking 3 year plan in respect of all footpaths in Cahir and is highlighting that 11 estates have been taken in charge over the past five years with no increase in the budget for footpath repairs.  Cllr Liam Browne is calling on the council to put in place a policy in respect of the allocation of burial spaces in St Cormac’s Cemetery in Cashel until a new cemetery space is identified – the Councillor proposes that existing family ties and proximity to Cashel be the deciding factor in deciding eligibility for a burial space. Cllr Declan Burgess is seeking an update on traffic calming measures and village regeneration in respect of Kilfeacle while Cllr John O’Heney is calling for new bins at all of the Rossadrehid picnic spaces and that such bins be added to the council’s  waste collection rota. The meeting begins at 11am in the Council offices on Rosanna Road, Tipperary town.
