Several branches of Allied Irish Bank(AIB) in county Tipperary are included in a list of 35 branches to be upgraded by the end of next year. AIB is to invest €40m in its branch network by the end of next year.

The Tipperary locations are Cashel, Cahir and Carrick on Suir.  The bank says it wants it’s branches to be places where all of it’s customers are comfortable discussing their finances in a welcoming environment.

The bank said the upgrades will cover 112 branches nationwide in total and will include 35 refurbishments. AIB has the largest branch network in Ireland and employs 10,000 people throughout the country.
