Three Tipperary Companies Awarded Origin Green Gold Membership

Three Companies from Tipperary are amongst 110 companies awarded Origin Green Gold Membership this year showing their commitment in driving sustainability initiatives

Bord Bia gives the status of Gold Membership to Origin Green verified companies if they make significant improvements in their sustainability target areas.  Target areas can include supply chain sourcing, water, emissions, waste reductions, packaging, and social sustainability.

The successful Tipperary companies are Borrisoleigh Bottling, securing the status for the first time in 2024, Una O’Dwyer trading as Cashel Fine Foods secures the status again which was also achieved in 2023 while Cashel Farmhouse Cheesemakers are awarded Gold Membership again in 2024 for the third consecutive year.

The Gold Members were formally acknowledged at Bord Bia’s annual Origin Green Sustainability Seminar, which was opened by Charlie McConalogue T.D., Minister for Agriculture, Food, and the Marine. The Minister singled out the food processor  Tirlán – formally known as Glanbia/Avonmore which has been recognised as an Origin Green Gold Member for the fifth consecutive year, highlighting its longstanding commitment to improving sustainability at pace.
