Thirteen projects in Tipperary are to benefit from €522,397 funding under the Clár programme – Minister Heather Humphreys is to make the formal announcement later this morning as part of a national allocation of €11.4M.
Locally, Donohill Community Playground is allocated €47,773 and Solohead GAA Club secured €42,553 for works to the car park. Upperchurch Village car park is to receive €36,000 while works to Upperchurch Drombane GAA spectator viewing area including wheelchair accessible ramp, hand railing and seating receives €43,924.
Also in South Tipperary Ballyporeen Community Park and the River Suir Blueway are allocated €45,963 for wheelchair accessible facilities including picnic tables at multiple locations, Newcastle GAA Community Walking Track gets €50,000, Newcastle Muintir na Tire Community Hall €15016 and €50,000 is allocated to Ballingarry Community Field for tarmac on the existing car park. Across North Tipperary, Clonakenny GAA secured €44,078 for resurfacing their car park, Silvermines GAA (€41,853), Carrig and Riverstown Community Hall extension(€28,237), Toomevara Layby(€27,000) and Cloughjordan FC Walking track(€50,000) also were successful in their applications.
The funding allocations are being welcomed by Tipperary TD Michael Lowry.
