Tipperary Town Lions Club To Hold Meeting Tomorrow Following 50 Year Anniversary

Tipperary town Lions Club is hoping that new members will join the group. The group meets monthly in the County Tipperary Tennis Club on St Michael’s Street, Tipperary town, on the first Tuesday of the month at 8pm. The October meeting will be held tomorrow night. The group aims to improve life in the Tipperary town community by working on an identified issue or by assisting others in their efforts. 

The group held a celebration yesterday to mark the 50th year of the Club which was founded in Tipperary town in 1975. Brendan Griffin, former Teacher, TD and founding member is to receive the Melvin Jones Award  in recognition of his humanitarian service – his wife Kay and daughter Catriona attended yesterday’s gathering of former members and Presidents and accepted the award.
