Ireland south MEP Sean Kelly is calling on the GAA to institute stricter rules governing ticket sales for all events held in their stadiums.
The call comes following widespread public outcry over dynamic pricing during the recent Oasis concert ticket sales for Croke Park. The dynamic pricing policy allows ticket prices to increase based on the demand leading to a 300% increase in ticket prices for the concert compared to the advertised price.
The former GAA President has been actively addressing the issue in the European Parliament and wants the European Commission to investigate if Ticketmaster are exploiting their dominant position in the Irish Market.
