Council To Hire Staff Officer For Homeless Services

Tipperary County Council is to hire a staff officer for homeless services on a 3-year special purpose contract.

The post will offer a salary ranging from €49,706 to €59,456 however the starting point for all new entrants will be at the minimum point on the scale.

The role requires a professional Social Care Qualification or equivalent and is an integral part of the Prevention & Support Project within the Local Authority Homeless Team.

The person will be based in Nenagh. The July Homeless report shows that Tipperary county council is supporting 47 people in emergency accommodation.

The Council also seeks to assist people who may have received a notice to quit their tenancy including people who are seeking accommodation but are not eligible for social housing.
