Tipperary Cllr Welcomes Resumption Of Services In Bansha Pre School In New Location

Cllr John O’Heney is welcoming the resumption of services in Bansha Pre School in a new location on the grounds of Bansha Gym.  The Pre School had been located in the local primary school but the school needed space to provide an ASD Unit. The retention of the local service in the village was a key priority for Cllr O’Heney.   The preschool is run by experienced private childcare providers Paula and John Ryan and Cllr O’Heney is extending good wishes to the owners, staff and all the children.

A total of 19 children are being cared for in the facility at present and this may increase to the current capacity of 22.  The operators also hope to provide a Breakfast club and after school service in the future.  Staff at Tipperary County Council Planning Section and the County Childcare Officer Ms Ger Boland are also being praised for their assistance in making the new location compliant with all relevant regulations. A new Bansha Childcare committee is now in place chaired by Catherine Doyle and the longer term goal is to have a purpose built community run Childcare facility in the village.  Cllr O’Heney is also extending thanks to Willie and Stephanie Tarrant who assisted with space to facilitate the re-location and to the staff at Taylormade Fitness.
