The Minella Hotel in Clonmel is to host an event tonight (September 26th) aimed at sharing details of the current situation in Gaza. Irish Healthcare Workers for Palestine and IPSC South East are hosting Professor Nick Maynard, a leading Oxford based Gastrointestinal Surgeon.
Professor Maynard has been traveling to Gaza for more than a decade providing Surgical training and education to the Medical students and Surgical staff in Al Aqsa and Al Shifa hospitals.
The lecture is Professor Maynard’s first hand account of his work there up until his last mission in May 2024.
Tickets are donation based with all proceeds going to Medical aid for Palestinians (MAP)
Prof Maynard says he is unable to understand how the global community have not been able to deter Israel from the ongoing offensive in Gaza and accuses Israel of trying to wipe out the Palestinian population.
The event will begin at 7.30pm – the booking of places/donation is possible via Eventbrite at this link here but is not essential to attend.
