An Post have confirmed that the Post Office in Tipperary town will be relocating to a new facility within Bennet’s SuperValu as of Tuesday October 29th.
The Retail services side of Post office services will relocate to the new unit including such services as Postage stamps, Social Protection Payments, TV and Dog Licences – the mail sorting facility will remain on Grattan Street as at present.
To facilitate the move, the Post Office will close at the end of Business on Friday October 26th and will not be open on Saturday October 26th or Monday October 28th.
An Post describes the yet to be constructed unit in SuperValu on the Link Road/Kickham Place as a “state of the art” design.
As of now no details are confirmed as to how many staff will transfer to the new facility or transfer within the company to another post office or role within An Post or retire.
