Two Day Visit Of St Bernadette Relic To Take Place This Week

Preparations are being made in Holycross Abbey for a two day visit of the St Bernadette Relic on Thursday and Friday morning.  The Relic is making an extended visit to Ireland until November 5th and the Abbey visit is the final visit to a church in County Tipperary in the current visit.

A ceremony of welcome will be held in the Abbey at 9am, Veneration and Private Prayer will continue between 9.30am and 5pm, the Rosary will be offered at 5pm and a Special Mass with Anointing of the Sick will be held at 7.30pm.  A torchlight procession will be held if weather conditions are favorable at 8.30pm. Veneration of the relic will conclude at 10pm.  

Tipp Mid West Radio will broadcast the 7.30pm Mass on Thursday from Holycross

On Friday the relic will be on display between 8am and the 10am Novena and Farewell Mass. The Relic will depart Holycross at Noon to travel to St Mary’s Cathedral in Kilkenny for two days.
