Tipperary Town Tidy Towns Group To Resume Monthly Meetings Tomorrow

Tipperary town Tidy Towns Group are to resume their monthly meetings tomorrow evening after the Summer break. The meeting will be held in the Porterhouse commencing at 7pm.

The meeting will consider the current financial position of the group, grant applications, and a planned meeting with the Municipal District Council about responsibility for maintaining the Tipperary Hills and the River Walk. Issues such as heritage signs and planting for the coming spring and summer will also be reviewed with the Council.

Tomorrow’s meeting will also get an update on a biodiversity plan in conjunction with Knockanrawley Resource Centre, a project with Creative places involving painting the concrete planters, links with town residents associations and plans for an Annual General Meeting.   Tipperary Tidy Towns will also make a presentation to Ceola Ryan and Caleb Barrett for their contribution in compiling the Tidy Towns Entry form for 2024.

Chairperson Paul O’Callaghan is asking anyone interested in any aspect of Tidy Towns work to attend tomorrow’s meeting in the Porterhouse at 7pm.
