Jeanne Dowling is the new principal at St Anne’s Secondary school in Tipperary Town.
Ms Dowling takes over from John Cullinane who has moved to become Principal of St Mary’s school in Nenagh.
Ms Dowling had been the Deputy Principal in the school which caters for girls offering Junior Certificate, Transition Year and both Leaving Certificate programmes with approximately 300 students enrolled at present.
Ms Dowling is originally from Enniscorthy and has been working at the school since 2017.
The new Principal began her career as a Home Economics and Biology teacher.
A new deputy principal is yet to be appointed.
St Anne’s is a CEIST school meaning it is a member of Trust established in 2007 composed of Five Catholic Religious Congregations engaged in post primary education in Ireland. The Daughters of Charity, Presentation Sisters, Sisters of the Christian Retreat, Sisters of Mercy and Missionaries of the Sacred Heart established the Catholic Education, an Irish Schools Trust known as CEIST.
