As Christmas approaches members of the business community in Tipperary town are raising concerns about the status of the local Chamber.
A number of businesses are said to be concerned about the preparations for the vital retail period and the timely provision of Christmas lights.
Four members of the Chamber Committee resigned via a WhatsApp message in Spring 2023 and to date the remaining committee members, believed to be two people, have not held an AGM to enable a new committee to take charge to lead the organisation.
The two remaining committee members have on several occasions indicated that a full statement of all activities of the current Chamber since it took office in 2020 will be made available.
To date this has not materialised leaving the representation of the Business Community in the town in a somewhat dormant condition.
