A total of €6,000 worth of gift cards is to be donated to local organisations through ALDI’s Community Grants Programme. The selected charities are; Autism Awareness Roscrea, Cuan Saor Women’s Refuge, Suir Haven Cancer Care Centre, Brothers of Charity Nagle Services, Carrick-On-Suir Day Care, Clare’s Wish Foundation and Mo Chara Animal Rescue – each will receive a €500 Gift Card.
The retailer also selected 26 charities and community groups, one per county, to receive an additional support of €2,000 worth of gift cards, bringing the total donation to those chosen organisations to €2,500 worth of gift cards.
In County Tipperary, Enable Ireland Teach Saoirse has been chosen to receive this award.
By the end of 2024, the programme will have provided €758,000 in donations across Ireland since its inception in 2016. Operating eight stores in County Tipperary, ALDI also supports the Food Cloud programme and has donated over 180,000 meals to local charities.
In addition ALDI partners with 13 Tipperary food and drink producers, spending almost €124 million with them in 2024.
