ESB Network Apologies To Customers Who Didn’t Receive Notice On Planned Outage

ESB Networks is offering an apology as some customers in West Tipperary did not receive notice of a planned outage today to facilitate repair works.

The company says arrangements were put in place for notifications to be issued to affected customers and these arrived between the 30th August and 2nd September.

While the majority of customers received these notifications, the company accepts that a number of customers did not receive advance notice.

ESB Networks are confirming that planned outages tomorrow (Friday, 6 September) will affect customers in Garranacanty and Oola.

Details of outages both planned and unplanned are available on the powercheck.ie website.

It is understood that businesses such as Oola Pharmacy will operate on Friday by using an independent generator while Cullen National School will be closed due to the outage.

ESB networks says the planned outages relate to a significant programme of network refurbishment works that will provide capacity increases on the network in the surrounding areas and that due to the nature of the works, they could not be rescheduled on short notice.
