Rosegreen Community Field Day Sunday 15th September. Lots of family fun including Hurling & Football Blitzes / Olympic Welly Throwing Charity Competition 1,000 euro. Zorb balls, bouncy castles, dog show and Auction and many more side shows. Gates open at 12.30.

Monard Active Retirement is starting back in Monard Hall on Wednesday September 11th at 10.30am. New members are welcome. Chair Yoga is also starting in Monard Hall on Wednesday 18th September at 10.30am. Breda is doing same. All are welcome.

Clonoulty Rossmore playground committee are holding a fundraiser ” A night at the dogs” on September 14th in Thurles dog track. The whole swing sets need to be replaced. Tickets will be on sale in Ann Hammersley Post Office, Joe Hammersley butchers and Carmels shop in Clonoulty.

Active Retired Yoga Class with Maggie is returning on Friday 6th September at 11am, in the Tipperary Excel Centre. All are welcome.

Anglesboro Harvest Festival on 6th and 8th September. Bingo on Friday 6th September at 8.30pm. Doors open at 7.30pm. Music in the Hall on Saturday 7th September. Family fun day on Sunday 8th September from 12 noon to 5pm. Food and Music and numerous side shows.

Book Launch: Tom Wood will launch his latest book on the gravestone inscriptions in Cashel in the Cathedral Church, John Street on Wednesday 11th September at 8pm. The work, in progress of 1,000 gravestones, is dedicated to all those men, women and children, who made the Cashel graveyards their last resting place. The book is printed by Lion Print and every one is invited to the launch.

The Irish Wheelchair Voluntary Association will accept all donations on Wednesday 4th September and Thursday 5th September from 9am to 9pm in the old xtra vision shop in Cashel. Sale of all goods will commence on Thursday 5th September and Friday 6th September in the Xtra Vision in Cashel. Raffle on the day.

Skeheenarinky Vintage Club, Annual Car & Tractor Run on 8th September, 2024. In aid of South Tipperary Alzheimer’s Society. Refreshments Served on the day. Music afterwards in Olde Shanbally, Burncourt. Raffle on the night. All tractors, cars and Motorbikes welcome. All vehicles must be insured on the day. Leaving Skeheenarinky School at 2pm.

Holycross Abbey Solemn Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help will run from Sunday 8th to Monday 16th September. Monday to Saturday sessions at 7am, 10.30am, 4.30pm and 7.30pm. (Please note there is a 12.30pm session on Sundays but no 4.30pm). There will be a Penitential Service on Friday 13th at 7.30pm, Anointing of the Sick on Saturday 14th at 2pm and Blessing of Infants on Sunday 15h September at 2.30pm. Soul Song: Creative places, Tipperary Town. An exhibition by Marion Stern. Opening at Creative Places, 1 Bridge Street, Town Lot, Tipperary, E34 XY99. An amalgamation of the visual arts & music. A first of its kind playable exhibition will create an enviroment encouraging anyone to pick up the instruments and play even if they are not musicians themselves. Exhibition Opening is on Saturday the 21st September, 4pm to 7pm. Featuring live music from Quantum of Chaos and Tamara Penston.

Tipperary Musical Society will launch their 2024/2025 season on Friday 6th September in The Porter House, Tipperary Town at 8pm. All are welcome to meet existing members, the committee and the production team for our 2025 show “Rock of Ages”. Details of auditions, rehearsals and a briefing on the show will be provided on the night. New members are especially welcome, with no obligation to join. No previous experience in singing, music or stage-work is necessary. We’d love to see you there!

St Vincent de Paul Charity shop in Tipperary Town are calling for Donations of all kinds, with exception of quilts/duvets and electrical items. Good quality donations please.

Kilcommon National School is holding a scrap metal collection on Saturday 21st September. 9am to 6pm in TJ Carr’s field in Kilcommon Village. Scrap can be dropped in the field from Friday afternoon 20th September.
