A driver traveling on the R661 in Holycross was caught speeding as part of National Slowdown Day.
The individual was detected speeding at 75km/h in a 50km zone in the first two hours of the Garda initiative.
As of 12 noon today 29,729 were checked for speeding with 29 vehicles travelling over the applicable limit.
