County Tipperary Older People’s Council To Hold General Meeting Tomorrow

The county Tipperary Older People’s Council is to hold it’s Annual General Meeting tomorrow and all persons aged over 55 years are welcome to attend.  The Council is seeking to broaden it’s membership and older people from all sectors are encouraged to attend such as people with disabilities, minority groups, members of the traveling community and refugees.  The meeting will take place at the Anner Hotel in Thurles commencing at 11am and is due to conclude at 1pm.
The Annual General Meeting will re-connect and re-engage with the wider Older People’s Council  and outline the work of the Older People’s Council, the  Role of Age Friendly Ireland and the work of the Tipperary Age Friendly Alliance.
The aim is to ensure that the voice of older people is heard in planning for the future and to give such people an opportunity to contribute to co-design services for older people, to make County Tipperary a great place to grow old.
