Cahir Bingo have donated €3000 to the Tipperary Search & Rescue/nosu which will go towards the cost of a new van.
The group says they need to replace their existing van as they need one that’s more reliable to allow them to maintain their services to the community.
The voluntary service receives scant support from the state with the waiving of Motor tax the only benefit the service has been able to avail of to date.
The service has assisted at 16 call outs so far in 2024 – already matching the total number of call outs in 2023.
The rescue organisation is thanking the bingo committee and says this fantastic donation will make such a difference.
