The County Tipperary Chamber will host an online briefing on the upcoming Clonmel Water Supply Upgrade Project, an initiative led by Uisce Éireann that represents a multi-million-euro investment in the region’s water infrastructure. The event takes place this Wednesday between 6.15pm and 7pm   Interested parties can register to participate via the county Tipperary Chamber of Commerce website or at this link here.

The Chamber, says it recognises  the profound impact the Clonmel project will have on  members. The event will provide a comprehensive overview of the project, including the scope of work, timelines, and the expected benefits to the Clonmel area. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage directly with members of the Uisce Éireann project team.  The project includes critical upgrades to the Monroe Water Treatment Plant, the installation of 15km of new water mains, and enhancements to the Rathronan Pump Station. The business community in the town has  been hugely disrupted by water outages due to burst pipes and concerns are also being expressed about long term impact of using a “hard water” source for the longer term and the additional costs this may cause due to damage to equipment due to the build-up of lime scale.
