Uisce Éireann crews are working to restore water to customers supplied to the Fethard Regional Water Supply scheme, due to a burst water main. The company hopes to have the repairs completed by 4pm today.
Customers from Poynstown, Ballysloe, Boulick, Crabb, Gortnahoe, Glengoole North/South and New Birmingham are experiencing a disruption to their water supply due to the burst pipe.
Uisce Eireann says that the situation is compounded due to a number of other burst pipes in recent days resulting in low levels in local reservoirs leading to customers experiencing low water pressure.
Alternative water supplies are being made available at the Community Centre New Birmingham, Hogan’s car park Ballysloe, and the Community Centre in Gortnahoe.
The Uisce Éireann customer care helpline is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278 and updates are also issued the company website at water.ie
