Garda in Tipperary town have charged a man after an incident of assault in the town on Friday night. The incident led to one man suffering a head injury as he fell during the assault. Garda and National Ambulance personnel attended the scene at Kickham Place shortly after 10pm on Friday night. The man in custody, aged in his 20s, appeared before Nenagh District Court yesterday morning. The incident occurred at Kickham Place in the town centre.
On Saturday 3 benches and one picnic table were removed from the location. Clarification has been sought as to whether Garda or Council staff removed the seating.
