The Cashel Palace Hotel hosted a private function on Saturday as Erin McGregor and Terry Kavanagh were married. Erin is the sister of MMA fighter Conor McGregor. The family booked the entire complex for the wedding ceremony which concluded with fireworks set off in the field between the Hotel and the Rock of Cashel giving guests a spectacular view.
Erin and John have one son Harry, aged 7 and Erin has a daughter, Taylor, from a previous relationship.
Conor McGregor arrived by helicopter for the wedding ceremony held outdoors in the Hotel Garden. Conor McGregor, from Crumlin, Dublin is estimated to have net wealth of over €180 million after a successful career in Mixed Martial Arts fighting and has invested in a number of pubs in Dublin and launched a whiskey brand. Conor McGregor and his partner Dee Devlin, got engaged in 2020 after 12 years together but have yet to set a wedding date. The couple have four children ranging in ages from 1 to 7. It is understood that Erin has signed an exclusive deal with an American Magazine for coverage of the wedding event.
The 42 roomed hotel is owned by Coolmore stud owner John Magnier and his wife Susan, and reopened in 2022 after undergoing huge renovations providing a major boost in employment and economic activity in the town
The hotel has been notifying local residents in Cashel about planned fireworks associated with weddings as the time for the fireworks can be late at night – on Saturday the fireworks were held at 10.45pm. The hotel says fireworks will also be used for weddings on September 20th at approximately 10.30pm and on October 20th at an earlier time of 9.30pm.
