Tipperary County council is giving advance notice that the riverside walk in Thurles along the banks of the River Drish and the River Suir at Lady’s Well will be closed to the public between August 14th and 16th inclusive.
The walk is bounded on the south side by a forest of coniferous trees planted by Thurles Golf Club. These trees are to be felled this week and public access must be restricted for safety reasons. The entrances at the Mill Road, known locally as Lady’s Well and at the Turtulla Bridge entrance on the N62 roadway will both be closed for the duration of the works.
