Sponsored Fundraising Cycle In Memory Of Christine Daly Commences

A sponsored cycle in memory of the late Christine Daly commenced yesterday in Bristol, England is to arrive in Tipperary town at approximately 3pm on Friday August 16th after traveling through Cashel and Clonmel.

Ms Daly died in May 2023 suddenly as a result of a stroke.  The event aims to raise awareness of the impacts of stroke whilst also fundraising for the Rehabilitation Unit, Cashel and Clare Cancer support.  It will involve a small group of friends of the late Christine including her brother Martin, a member of the Kickhams GAA club and colleagues in Rockwell College, who are keen cyclists.

This event marks the journey Christine made so many times while travelling from Bristol, England to Miltown Malbay, Co. Clare, Ireland. The family are appreciative of the care given to their mother Rita Daly following a stroke earlier this year by staff at the Acute Stroke Ward 2B in Clonmel Hospital and ongoing care at St. Anthony’s nursing home in Pallasgreen, Co. Tipperary.

The group hope to reach Miltown Malbay on Saturday 17th of August – to date over €11,500 has been raised on the Go Fund Me page Christine Daly Memorial Cycle: Bristol to Milltown Malbay available at this link here.
