Public participation in a local film production is being sought in Tipperary town on Saturday.

At noon a local team making a feature length film are calling on members of the public to take part as “extras” in a crowd scene recreating the attendance at Dublin Castle in 2015 when Ireland voted for Marriage Equality.  Lisa McGrath has devised the story and script for “Unravelling“which is set in Ireland in 2015 and tells the story of the lead character, Allie,  as the person who killed her partner is about to be released from prison.

Filming is being led by Caleb Barrett with Directorial advice from Jim Keane. Participants of all ages are welcome to attend for the filming at Knockanrawley Resource Centre beginning at noon and expected to conclude within the hour.   Props will be provided and no experience is necessary according to Ms McGrath. Refreshments are also being provided by the Knockanrawley Resource Centre. The film is expected to be ready for Film Festivals in early 2025 and is being entirely self-financed. Anyone wishing to support the film can do so at the Go Fund Me Link available here .
