There are high hopes that Clonmel Rower Daire Lynch and his Double Skulls Partner Philp Doyle will medal in their final at the Paris Olympics today. The race will commence at 10.30am

A large screen TV has been installed in Clonmel at the Kickham Plaza to allow the community to come together to support the Irish team.

Irish Boxer Kelly Harrington  won yesterday on the unanimous vote all 5 judges  zero to qualify for the semi-final – meaning she is assured of at least a bronze medal to go with the Gold Medal she won at the Tokyo Olympics.

Ireland’s sailors Robert Dickson and Sean Waddilove are also taking part in their final today beginning  at 1.45pm.

Ireland’s men’s golfing team of Shane Lowry and Rory McElroy will also compete today alongside the show jumping team, boxer Jack Marley and canoeist Noel Hendrick.
