Donors are being urgently sought to support a blood donation clinic in Nenagh on Monday(July29th). The clinic will be held at the Abbey Court Hotel and will run from 4.50pm until the final appointment time of 8.10pm.
The service is facing challenges in meeting the increasing demand for blood products from hospitals at this time when some regular donors may miss clinics due to summer holidays. In addition to regular donors the service says it is very keen for new donors to attend.
The Irish Blood Transfusion Service(IBTS) is hoping to recruit 15,000 new donors nationwide this year. An appointment to donate blood may be made by phoning 1 800 222 111 and existing Donors also have the option of booking online.
