Tipperary County Council has installed eight new pay-and-display machines in Cashel for those paying parking charges. The equipment has been upgraded to new, solar-powered machines.
The machines are not only more sustainable but also are user-friendly as they accept both coin and credit card with tap to pay technology.
The new machines have been installed on Ladyswell Street, Friar Street, Main Street and in the newly extended Friar Street Car Park.
The Council also offers the eParking facility. Users can pay for their parking by downloading the Tipperary eParking app or calling 0818 06 5004, which provides a contactless payment experience.
A Council Strategic Policy committee is to examine parking charges and rules, across the county in a bid to harmonise rates with a proposal from the Committee not expected before early 2025.
