The Inch Field at  Cahir Castle is to host the second annual event organsed by the local  Daughters of Dun Iascaigh Group to raise funds for charities that support victims of domestic violence.

The group is holding a “Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever” event at 2pm on Sunday next July 28th.

Two dance tutors will guide those taking part in learning the dance routine featured in the Kate Bush video for the song Wuthering Heights.

The event finale will see all the dancers perform the dance which has been associated with supporting victims of domestic violence for several years.

Cahir House Hotel Ballroom is arranged as an alternative venue if the weather is not suitable.

The two beneficiaries are Cuan Saor Women’s Refuge in Clonmel and the Tipperary Rape Crisis Centre.

Those attending are asked to wear some item of red clothing if possible. Places can be reserved on Eventbrite at this link here and donations will also be accepted on the day.

The Cahir event is thought to be the only such event in Ireland outside of Dublin – last year over 200 people took part in the inaugural event – children can attend free of charge.
