Tipperary County Council are proposing a major housing development at Mountain View Drive, Lissava, Cahir.

45 new residential units will be delivered comprising six 1-bed apartments in 3 two storey blocks, two 2-bed single storey houses, eleven  2-bed two storey houses, nineteen 3-bed two storey houses, six 4-bed two storey houses and one 5-bed two storey house. The development also includes a new entrance, estate access road, garden sheds, public open spaces and visitor car parking, and relocation of existing playing pitch and other drainage and site works.

Plans are available to view online or at the council offices in Tipperary town, Clonmel or Nenagh until Friday September 13th.

Local councillor Andy Moloney says the development will be just off the Mitchelstown road with the houses for older people situated closest to the entrance. The development is being processed under legislation intended to speed up housing delivery meaning that an application for a judicial review is the only mechanism to question the validity of any decision of the planning authority.
