Garda and emergency services including the National Ambulance Service and two units of Tipperary Fire Service are at the scene of a single Vehicle Road Traffic Collison at Longford bridge on the Bansha Road just outside Tipperary town. No injuries were caused by the incident in which a car travelling west overturned and came to a stop on the eastbound lane of the N24.
The driver and sole occupant, a young woman, will be taken to hospital for an assessment as a precaution according to the emergency services on site. The incident occurred shortly before 1pm today. A stop and go traffic system is in place on the road way at present to facilitate the movement of traffic on the N24 which is usually additionally busy on Fridays. Garda are awaiting the arrival of a tow truck to remove the vehicle from the road way. Drivers using the N24 are advised to drive with caution in the area just outside Tipperary town on the Bansha road.
