Motorcyclist Hospitalised After Collision In Tipp Town

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a collision involving a car and motorcycle on Father Matthew Street in Tipperary town at approximately 3.20pm yesterday.

The motorcyclist was taken to Tipperary University Hospital to be assessed for his injuries.

The male motorcyclist is understood to be from Tipperary town. 

The collision caused disruption to traffic on the route for a time.

Fr Matthew street, leading onto the Cashel Road, is currently under a Traffic Management plan and operates as one-way street due to a major road works project currently underway that is expected to take 18 months to complete.
