Two Very Successful Fundraising Events Held In West Tipperary

Two fundraising events have been very successful in West Tipperary. On Friday July 12th a walk to celebrate the 70th birthday of Johnny Luby raised over €7,500 for Scoil Chormaic in Cashel. Johnny and family walked with colleague Fran Curry alongside neighbours and friends from Castlelake to Cashel and later held a birthday party in Sir Rowlands in Thomastown.  The Go Fund Me page for donations remains available at this link  here.

Tipperary Vintage Rally Group presented a cheque for €16,250 to the South Tipperary Hospice Group on Saturday. The funds were raised during the Vintage Rally event on June 16th  and the Easter Saturday Honda 50 Rally earlier this year. The presentation was held at the Plaza on the Limerick road, Tipperary town adjacent to the site of the annual Rally(by kind permission).Jack Leonard presented the check to Sean O’Donovan, the Chairperson of South Tipperary Hospice.  Mr O’Donovan expressed ongoing gratitude for the over €300,000 the Vintage Rally Group has raised for the local service over the last 16 years.

Mr Leonard says he intends to step back from the Chairperson’s role with  the Group but will continue to be on hand to help the Tipperary Vintage Rally Group with it’s many community activities.
