Clarification Issued By Tipperary Cllr In Respect To Water Supply Disruption In Cashel

383

Cllr Liam Browne has issued a clarification about water supply disruption in Cashel yesterday.

The newly elected Independent Councillor says that the strong flow of water on the street in the Castlegreen area of the town is part of the National Leakage Repair Works completed on Friar Street, Cathal Brugha Street, Feehans Road and Castlegreen.

As part of the repair works the water pipes had to be backflushed causing some members of the public to report a major leak or an extraction valve being left open.

The works in Cashel are completed but there are ongoing issues causing outages in South Tipperary.

A burst mains pipe is being repaired to restore supply to the Coolbawn Cross, Moyglass, Silverfort Cross, Mocklershill and surrounding areas. A problem at a Reservoir in Clonoulty also caused problems for Uisce Eireann Customers in the Cashel area yesterday – both issues are now understood to be resolved. Uisce Eireann can be contacted by calling 1 800 278 278.
