Search For Missing Cappawhite Boy Moves To The Hollyford Woods Area

Searches to find a missing boy in Cappawhite are ongoing with the focus of the search now moving to the Hollyford Woods area.  Tipperary Search and Rescue teams are assisting  the search with support from the Killaloe Coast Guard unit and drones being deployed for aerial surveillance of the area.

The 14 year old, Lee Freeman, was understood to be walking home from a residence in Cappawhite village, a distance of approximately 1 mile and a half(2400m) when he was last sighted. A property owner has contacted the family with a further CCTV sighting at 5.15am yesterday morning. This location is approximately 10 minutes from home.  When last seen the boy was wearing a black hoodie top which has a red and white line down the arm. He also has a black and white check jacket and was wearing a black tracksuit pants, he is of slim build and has brown hair. 

There has been a tremendous offering of help with the search and posts on social media are being extensively shared in a bid to find the 14-year-old.  The boy’s family are appealing to anyone with security cameras in the Cappawhite/Hollyford area to check the footage from early on Sunday morning.  Anyone with any information as to the whereabouts of Lee Crowe is asked to contact Tipperary Garda Station on 062 80670.
