Family Of Missing Teenager Continue To Appeal for Help In Locating Him

The family of a fourteen-year-old boy, Lee Freeman, missing from the Cappawhite area of Tipperary since early on Sunday morning are continuing to appeal for help in locating the boy.  Gardaí and Lee’s family are concerned for his wellbeing.

CCTV footage was reported to have a sighting as of 5.15am yesterday morning(Sunday) – it has since been confirmed that this recording device is not working properly and that this sighting is actually from 4.15am.

At that time the boy was understood to be on foot approximately 10 minutes from home.

Lee is described as being approximately 5 foot 3 inches in height, with a slim build.

He has short blonde/brown hair, and green eyes. When last seen the boy was wearing a black hoodie top which has a red and white stripe along the arm and black tracksuit pants. He is also believed to be wearing a Black Dunlop Jacket.

 The Search operation involves members of Tipperary Search and Rescue, Killaloe Coast Guard and members of the local community.

Drones are being deployed for aerial surveillance of the area.

The Community Centre in Cappawhite is offering it’s facilities – toilets, refreshments and charging facilities to support the search.

Posts on social media are being extensively shared in a bid to find the 14-year-old with numerous expressions of support for the family.

An appeal is ongoing for anyone with security cameras in the Cappawhite/Hollyford area to check the footage since early on Sunday morning.  It is understood that the boy has 3 siblings and attends school in St Ailbes, Tipperary town.
