Tipp PPN Urges Groups To Examine Community Safety Fund

64

Tipperary Public Participation Network is encouraging Groups seeking funding for Community Safety measures to examine the options provided under the Community Safety Fund.

This scheme is currently accepting applications for funding until 5pm on Friday July 26th.

The Community Safety Fund uses funds seized by the Criminal Assets Bureau to support safety measures with grants ranging from €20,000 to €150,000 available.

A total of €3.75M will be distributed this year.

The fund also seeks to ensure that the most appropriate proposals to improve community safety will access the funding they need.

Suitable projects could include activities intended to tackle crime or reduce the fear of crime; improve community safety and feelings of safety, support the creation of safe and resilient communities, reduce reoffending and to help divert vulnerable individuals away from engagement in criminal behaviour.

The Tipperary PPN has circulated details to all of it’s member organisations to create awareness of the scheme which is now in it’s third year.

Full details and application forms can be found at this link here.
