In winning these awards, the SPAR stores were independently assessed across a range of criteria including customer service as well as a robust Food Safety and Hygiene audit.  These exemplary SPAR retailers received their award in recognition of their commitment to implementing Best practice store standards throughout their store.

The Tipperary town stores who received a SPAR 365 Retailing Standards Award are Ben Lenihan, SPAR Inver on the Bansha Road and SPAR Inver on the Limerick Road alongside Pat and Una McDonagh, at  McDonagh’s SPAR at the Tipperary Plaza. Gary Harvey at SPAR on the Racecourse Road in Thurles, SPAR at Corrib Oil in Carrick on Suir and  Michael O’Brien at SPAR Borrisokane round out the list of Tipperary winners.

The awards event was held in Lawlor’s Hotel, in Naas in Co Kildare, and hosted by BWG Foods, owners and operators of the SPAR brand in Ireland.
